The Northwestern Predators are our Division 1 Seniors (18+) mens gridiron (american football) team. We have competed in the Gridiron NSW League since 2004. Since our inception the Predators have produced 3 Australian Outback Team representatives and 10 Gridiron NSW state team representatives.
In 2015 the team sent one player to the Australia Outback team. The team also placed 3rd in the entire Gridiron NSW league.
In 2016 the team had two players selected to go to the outback training camp in Tahiti.
Women (18+) - The Phoenix
The Northwestern Phoenix are our women's team. We are one of the four founding teams in the Gridiron NSW women's league and were the inaugural NSW champions (2012) securing the Opal Bowl by defeating the Newcastle Cobras in the grand final.
The Phoenix were heavily represented in both national campaigns in the Women's Australian Gridiron League, sending six players and their head coach to the first Coyotes team and 11 players, head coach and team manager to the second.
The Phoenix are made up of women who have played a multitude of other sports ranging from club to national levels. We are always welcoming of new players who want to come and try this great sport. Be warned though, once you try it, you'll love it and your family will grow by a whole club size.
Colts (15-19) - The Giants
The Giants are the newest member of the Northwestern American Football Club, their inception being 2016. The club is made up of returning players from last years Panther's juniors team as well as new players.
The Panthers went on to play in the Juniors Grand Final during the 2015 season. The Giants look to continue this tradition this year with an ever increasing pool of talent.
